What a wonderful thing it is to look at a blank sheet of paper. Although there is absolutely nothing on it, its potential is unlimited. From the most inspiring words to the most vile filth, the empty page can do it all. However, like the pen, it can only convey thoughts and cannot have any words of its own. That is why those who burn books do a great disservice to the world by their hateful attempts to destroy those words and destroy those thoughts. The words and ideas withing these books are to be read and studied but not hated. Hate does not combat hate very well. Quite often, a push becomes a shove. Do not blame the books themselves because they did not write those words. The authors are responsible.
