Oh what was once Palestine and is now known as Israel, you are the holy land and to many the promised land. Such a poor treatment, that a cradle of civilization now harbors a hollow terrorist state. Creating enemies in your mirror image you appeal to the gospel of unending hate. Such a sad fate for such a promising land, for this isn't where your dream began but I fear it will end
The zionists called for a place to rest
for a population persecuted sick and weary
A place for those who could not assimilate
where the Jewish populace could be free
In droves you came from persecution and war
some sick, some dying, most with nothing at all
but you must have learned the tools of your oppressors
for you practiced them quite well
and while the world was bemoaning the holocaust
by your hand a thousand generations lost their homes
many still have their house keys around their necks
in your quest for land you ignored the world
perhaps you were thinking you just need "breathing room"
and it continues on and on,
your quest for all of palestine.
But it is important to learn lessons well
for there have been nations seeking regional domination
using racial slurs, and aggressive policies
and I am sure you would prefer not be counted with them.
