Ashton: Oh, I thought it was about Captain Planet.

Ehren: Subdual damage can't hurt.
CJ: I think it can hurt a lot.

Whoa, you guys say "subdual" instead of "nonlethal"? Wacky! (I personally prefer "nonlethal" because when I first played D&D, I thought it was "subduel" damage (never saw it written, only heard it aloud), and so I imagined this whole extra little sub-battle (duel) where you had to fight one-on-one, and it just seemed really complicated, so I didn't bother learning the rules.

Funny what messes you up.

I don't even *play* D&D, and I know what subdual damage is, silly goose! =P

Ok, all of these are pretty funny, but I really want to know the context for this one: "Ehren: Let's wake her up and tell her we killed her boyfriend and read her diary." Also, I think it's funny you had to think about whether or not your world was round. =P

Yeah, the PCs killed a chain devil and knocked out his human bodyguard (whom they had discovered to be neutral, not evil, and thus did not want to kill). They found her diary, and it gave them information and also talked about her crush on the chain devil (with whips and chains! You would have liked him). So it's pretty straightforward, actually: they killed her boyfriend (or at least crush) and read her diary. Only then they accidentally killed her, then raised her and apologized, then told her that they killed the chain devil because he was leaving to go back to his crazy ex, who was mentioned in the diary. Also, they kept the stuff they'd looted from her. :P
