Tagged!
I've been tagged by hulkingmanchild - the rules of the game are that each person tagged gives 7 random facts about herself. Or himself. Whatever. Those tagged need to write in their blogs the 7 facts, as well as the rules of the game, then each tag seven others and list their names in the blog, leaving those tagged notes in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog. Here are my facts:
1. I once petted an adult mountain lion. It was a tame one, at a festival in Farmville.
2. A book turned me vegetarian in high school, and it stuck. "Toxin", by Robin Cook - not because of all the e. coli and stuff, but because of the treatment of the animals. I'd kind of always suspected I'd end up vegetarian someday, though.
3. I have played - officially, with lessons, not just picked up and doodled around with - piano, violin, cello, trumpet, and clarinet before coming back to piano. I've also played ocarina and, to some extent, harmonica with songbooks for both.
4. I don't think I will ever really believe that death is inevitable.
5. I like traveling, but I prefer to stay in a hotel with friends over staying at a friend's house, unless it's crashing with a big group (like the Skiffy camp-in). I like the neutral territory, I guess, rather than the insecurity of being on someone else's turf. This applies less as I get to know the person (and the house, haha) better; I just remember years of taking trips around the country and staying with my parents' friends. Never liked doing that too much, although I enjoyed befriending their cats.
6. I still have not been able to finish "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy - the books, not the movies. Shh! It's my shameful secret. ;P
7. The first dream I can remember having was really early, when I was a little kid, but I can ground it in time because it was the night I went to see "Dracula" (a play of it) with my family, and they remember going to it. It was about Dracula; everyone wanted to hunt him down, and I was scared for him, because I was the only person who knew he wasn't really evil - haha, analyze all you like.
That was hard! I tried to mostly use ones that aren't too obvious.
And I think I will tag: alicen1drland, candymayniac, toastedcheese, sunshinecampusa, wmbluequeen, poolotter, and sungoesdown17. I'd tag one more person, but no lj entries means I can't comment to say 'tag' . . . you know who you are ;).
