Job duties:
Fodor's Travel Publications, a division of Random House, is seeking an Editorial Assistant.Responsibilities include administrative tasks for an Editorial Director, as well as some line-editing and copy editing, conducting editorial research, sending materials to writers in the field and answering reader mail.

Job requirements:
Individual must be: at once detail-oriented and able to keep an eye on the big picture; very interested in and proficient with writing, grammar and punctuation; passionate about travel; and familiar with guidebooks. Excellent editorial skills and the ability to multitask efficiently are mandatory. Writing and editing background, in school or as internships, is a major plus. Other requirements include a college degree and good researching and communications skills. Familiarity with Excel and Powerpoint a plus. This job offers excellent growth opportunity.
