Okay, so I have a potential awkward event coming up.
Basically, a friend of mine has invited me to her birthday bash, and has also invited a few of our mutual friends. The thing is, they're all classmates from way way before, and I haven't seen them for close to a decade already.
... Yeah.
I really want to go, because I haven't seen them for bajillions of years and the potential fun-factor would probably be really high. But people's appearances can sometimes change over a period of ten years without constant contact, sometimes with drastic results. This birthday girl was a skinny little kid back then, and she's now what many people would say 'highly date-able'. If that can happen to one person, what about the rest of them?! :O
My only consolation is that they'll probably feel the same way about me (but not the highly date-able part, though), but still... what if I congratulate the wrong person? That'd be a really really huge boo-boo.
I'll be going, but this will require some clever thinking, great memory recall and skills of deduction...
