Blaaah.
Mum and Andy (my stepdad) are back from Crete, which is good. It's nice to have them back, if I'm honest. ^_^
I need to go to no less than three courier depots today (my time), to pick two things up and send my ThinkPad off to have its wounds tended to.
I saw my dad on Sunday for the first time in four and a half months, after speaking to him (on the phone) for the first time in as long last Wednesday.
It was nice to see him again, but he hasn't changed. I don't think he was paying attention on the phone when I told him about having a boyfriend (yes, it's been that long since we spoke), because he remembered and mentioned Denmark on Sunday, but not Frederik. I'll ask Lucy (his girlfriend, whom I get on very well with) if he's told her next time I see them, to see if he really was just not paying attention - he'd usually mention something like his son's new boyfriend.
Needless to say, I was a bit hurt that he didn't either pay much attention (I said it twice on the phone, because he didn't hear me clearly the first time :\), or didn't care enough to ask. Hopefully it's just because he's notoriously bad at paying attention.
I'm working more on EB, and I'm also (*puts on geek hat*) working on a template-based HTML form validation class to simplify and automate server-side (and maybe eventually client-side, via AJAX and JPSpan) checking and error messages.
I was beginning to think I didn't like working with PHP or server-side code any more, and only wanted to do XHTML/CSS/JavaScript client-side stuff, but this has rekindled my interest in the logic-y bits of web applications.
Looks like I'll enjoy doing it as a job. :p
Once I get my laptop back in about two weeks, I'll do posting-of-pictures on MySpace (thanks James, in case you read this) and stuff like that, so rest assured that it'll get done. ;)
I miss Frederik. =(
