Wow, action-packed weekend this weekend, which comes as a bit of a shock. Friday, it was so windy after class that in a brilliant fit of ADD Monika and myself went out and bought a Spiderman kite and flew it around the lodges until it got eaten by a tree, then a couple of us went to this huge discount liquor store and became wine nerds for about an hour, then came back on campus and basically crashed for the night. Saturday morning Josh, Courtney, Monika and me went to Woodstock to get in touch with our inner hippies, and it wound up being a pretty cool town, with all these cool little stores and wine shops that gave us free samples for showing off our amazing knowledge of South African wines. Sometimes being a food nerd really pays off! Sunday, Mark and Doody took Josh and me to Danbury, CT to check out this amazing food emporium called 'Stew Leonard's' which is basically an all encompassing supermarket and dairy complete with animatronic cows and sheep in long johns playing dueling banjos while you shop. Then we met Mark's parents and came back to campus where we watched a little Stephen Segall and a little Harold and Kumar. Today was definitely the coups de gras. Monika asked for some company to go to this skate shop about an hour away so she could fix her broken figure skates, and on the way there we figured out there was a White Castle not too far away from the shop, so we decided to grab some lunch. Soooooo many sliders..... But it's so craptacular that I just couldn't help myself! Ugh, I feel like I shouldn't be able to walk after that. God bless White Castle though. And God bless the United States of America!! So now I'm going to lay down and recooperate for a little bit.
