Quick update
I just realized that I never posted to say that I was back from the beach. So, guess what? I'm back from the beach!
We had a good time, although I only got to go fishing twice. We fished around some oil and natural gas rigs in the bay (as opposed to the Gulf proper). I caught a few trout and some big-ass 35 lb. something-or-other. I can't remember what it was called. It was a trash fish (not worth eating), so we threw it back. But it was a heck of a lot of fun to catch.
Let's see. No drama, except that Nelia discovered why it is not a good idea to jump into a 4 foot deep section of pool without a floatie. She had been jumping to my niece while wearing a floatie-ring. Unfortunately, she had set her ring aside and forgotten about it. And my niece had moved a few paces away. They got her out quick enough, but not before she tried to scream and swallowed a few good lungfulls worth of water. She threw up and cried for a little while. Then she got back in the pool again. She doesn't seem to be scared of the water, so I don't think it has scarred her or anything. Although I have noticed that she is very careful to keep her floatie with her whenever she goes in now. :)
Let's see. What else? The router at the time-share was unreliable (the signal kept appearing and disappearing). So I eventually just gave up and stopped using it. It was nice to actually go most of a week without using a computer. Especially without doing any work. I should really do that more often. Oh, and driving 12 hours over less than a day and a half really sucks.
One other thing, since I don't think I have mentioned it here yet. We found this out just a few days before we left on vacation. Looks like we are having a boy! I wouldn't be able to tell for certain given just the ultra-sound picture, but the doctor seems pretty confident. We are going to do a 4-D ultrasound around the beginning of August, so we should be absolutely certain then.
