Silly bit

I wrote this for the writer's group last night. The prompt is bolded. I was feeling quite silly, but I felt I had to share it with my HP friends. Just because.

Pulling the twigs out of his hair, he wondered if his day would have been better if he hadn't followed the butterflies. If he hadn't been so intrigued by their color, he would have been paying attention. He wouldn't have tripped over that stupid fallen log in his way and toppled down the hill. He wouldn't have rolled down the hill, until his hair and clothes were covered in leaves and brambles. He looked rather like a wood sprite with his messy brown hair blending with the autumn foliage.

Was that why the woodland creatures circled around him? Did they think he was Robin Goodfellow? They'd be very disappointed to learn he was a mere mortal pretender, bumbling his way through the world.

All because he followed the butterflies. He knew that was overrated. He should have followed the spiders.
