Always the Hunter, WHR, Amon
I wrote this for 15minuteficlets for the word "replacement". The fandom is the anime "Witch Hunter Robin".
Solomon was finally sending a replacement. Amon’s mind reeled from the announcement. Amon had been caught unprepared. For a brief moment, he was hopeful. The STNJ was badly short staffed in their current hunts. Doujima was next to useless. Sakaki always needed to be pulled out of tight jams. A new hunter might provide the needed backup the STNJ so badly needed. Then Zaizen dropped the other bombshell. Their new hunter was a sixteen-year-old Craft user.
A Craft user. Amon seethed at the prospect of another one in the STNJ. How powerful was she? How many steps away was she from becoming a Witch? He had hunted down the last one six months ago. He had watched her slowly deteriorate, power corrupting her mind and soul. He didn’t even think about it now. She was just another case file, just another name to mark off the master list. His job was to hunt witches.
