Um, yes, I might have seen the new Star Trek the other day. I was surprised how much I liked it. The casting worked. The changes worked, even before you got to the twist. It's been awhile since I've enjoyed Trek, especially TOS. Now I wish I'd kept some of my old Trek novels especially Diane Duane's "My Enemy My Ally". Maybe there's an ebook? (And want an icon like "My Romulans are in the books", because Ael i-Mhiessan t'Rllaillieu was so cool even as a young preteen.)
Although Terminator fans, I'm sorry, but if I have to listen to one more pre-movie preview w/ McG, the director w/ the rapper name and pretentious tone, I'm going to reach for a phaser.
Now picturing MediaWest with fans converging on the con w/ renewed Trek fervor... oh dear.
