madripoor_rose's post on "New Amsterdam" makes me want to watch the series all over again. Or at least curl up with my New York songs and write fic. Weird since it's really not favorite city, per se. I haven't visited it in over twenty years, so the New York I saw is long gone for the most part. It is still my favorite town in classic movies though.
Conversely capping "Girl on a Trapeze" makes me want to join the circus. Or write about one anyway. I had that urge at Halloween too. I was even reading about the Hartford Circus Fire.
Speaking of fire, I'm still debating what to write for picfor1000. I'm just not sure I can write Matches Malone. He's so different from Bruce or Batman, both in style and substance. I'd have to read some of his appearances before I'd go through with that. The only other things I'm coming up with are smoking references. I don't write RPF, as much as I adored "Good Night and Good Luck", they were real people. And I don't watch "Mad Men" so that's out.
I know the picture is only for inspiration and not literal... I'm trying to get Julia Ecklar's "Daddy's Little Girl" out of my head. It's about Stephen King's "Firestarter".
