She picked the following icons:
1. This was a request icon from eiluned. The lyric is from Loreena McKennitt's "Samain Night", one of my favorites of her early work.
2. A Firefly icon by moonanstars. The scene is of Mal & Inara dancing during the episode "Shindig" and the caption's from the Firefly theme song. The icon combines a favorite scene, a favorite pairing and the theme song. Can't go wrong there.
3. This is an icon of Sophia of the anime "Last Exile". I hadn't learned how to cap my own dvds at this point, so I used someone's caps. Just cropped and maybe brightened a little. This is the Sophia I loved in the series, the ultra competent first officer.
4. An icon by danii from the DC Comics' "Starman" series. This shows Jack & David, the two Knight brothers, after one of their annual meetups. Good composition of Jack's jacket in front and David's traditional star uniform, contrasting new and old Starman.
5. Another icon I created of Cosmic Boy from the current boot (Waid-Kitson specifically) of Legion of Super Heroes. The scene is from Legion of Super-Heroes #3 after Cos has heard Triplicate Girl's report about the state of his team. I had always been a fan of Garth & Imra, but this was the incarnation that actually made me appreciate Cos.
6. An icon I snagged from snowflakesleep's set of fashionable ladies from art. I'm not actually sure which artist painted this one. Sargent maybe? I think I picked her because she reminded me a little of Dian Belmont from "Sandman Mystery Theater". Probably not quite the right period, but similar style.
