Addendum to random research

So I'm wallowing in old 70s Satellite era Arrow/Canary stories tonight. The conflict is there, almost ready made. Considering how much we complain about continuity these days, it's refreshing to read fairly consistent portrayals within even a tight timeline. Of course this was when Dinah was still her mother, so to speak, which is very weird in retrospect. But Dinah wanting to be her own woman is still fairly true today. Should I pull the Green Lantern/Green Arrow issues of the period?

Also discovered a Selina/Dinah interaction I'd forgotten about - Adventure Comics #419 - the back half of Alex Toth two parter. "Go choke on some birdseed, Canary!" Aw, Selina, you're such a romantic.

More depressing to realize to know I own one World's Finest and couple JLA issues straight off the proverbial 7-Eleven spin racks from the period I'm researching. God I feel old when I look at the release dates. Or marvel that I was reading and buying comics that young, I'm not sure which. I think I can fairly track my comics reading through spotty early issues of Super Friends/Wonder Woman/JLA to that fateful issue of New Teen Titans when I started "collecting" (i.e. had to have every issue). It wasn't even a momentous arc issue really. It wasn't the Judas Contract or Terror of Trigon or anything. It was "Who Killed Trident?" in #34. And the rest is history.

Anyone on the friendslist knowledgeable about martial arts, especially judo? I'm trying to research how someone trains by themselves and I'm hampered by not knowing what I'm looking for. I know it's a lot of throws, but they can practice other things without a partner right?

catwoman, new teen titans, research, comic books, pairing: dinah/ollie, black canary
