B5 resurgence

Several people on my friendslist are discovering (or rediscovering) Babylon 5.

azarsuerte is looking for recs for fanworks through "Walkabout".

My filk friend ohiblather has started a B5 reaction blog. She's just started watching the episodes.

For all that it was one of my first online fandoms (and first cross-platform fandoms since I followed jms from Compuserve to AOL and occasionally usenet), I really haven't written that much fanfiction. Of course I started in the fandom when the episodes were airing and jms preferred that we waited until it was over. So I didn't write anything, with the exception of my Mary Sue Starfury pilot. Fortunately she's morphed into other characters over time. My first attempt was the drabble "Excuses" about Stephen Franklin. I wound up appreciating the character more the second time around, but maybe that's hindsight and irony talking. Then I wrote about Morden in "Signs and Portents" in "What do you want? And finally about Ivanova's thoughts on the Psi Corps and Talia from early first season in Distrust.

The halfamoon community is celebrating female characters and includes quite a few B5 recs, icon posts, etc.

And if you're an SGA/B5 crossover fan, I'm rather fond of havocthecat's Schism. It's more of fusion. *sighs* This makes me want to write that Teyla/Ivanova encounter again. Or something B5 related.
