Chicks with blades

Kalinara has an early preview of IDW's Rogue Angel comic book series and actually sounds rather positive. Certainly looks better than any of the Laurell Hamilton stuff.

I dug out the first book Destiny and found that description that stopped me cold. She's been pursued by hired hoods in France:

"She wasn't afraid, though. At five feet ten inches, athletic and full-figured, and in shape from running, climbing and martial arts, she knew she could take care of herself. Her chestnut colored hair was tied back. Wraparound sunglasses hid her amber-green eyes."

Athletic and full figured? The author was probably going for the Lara Croft description. Still full-figured means something different for me than the average fanboy. I will add Annja usually winds up fairly modestly attired. One of her co-workers on "Chasing History's Monsters" is notorious for her breakaway bikini top. Annja has these things called standards her producer can't fathom.

TVshowsondvd is reporting something really interesting by way of Comics Continuum. Top Cow has been contacted for interviews for a dvd package for the TNT Witchblade. Could we really see Sara, Nottingham, Irons and Gabriel in dvd format? It's a rumor, but as they say, more concrete than some. And Witchblade has been retooled in comics lately. (The only way this gets better is if AMC finally opens its vaults and discovers WENN again. Hey if they release "Mad Men" on dvd, anything could happen.)
