Torments of old plotbunnies

Ugh, feeling dreadful. Awful cold can go bye now, please? At least I didn't have to take off work or anything. Not that I'm bitter...

So in between hacking and coughing and resume rewrites, I'm watching various videos, including a first season Stargate: SG1 episode I'd "acquired" for research purposes. I've always joked that the way to me is through the WWII episode. "Torment of Tantalus" is no exception in that respect. Ironically if I'd seen this episode initially, I might not have had such a kneejerk response to the original SG-1. It's a fascinating episode for both my Stargate/DCU fusion/crossover and the "Lost City" 1930s AU. At least now I have some further background on the Stargate program to plug into things. And I get flashbacky Paul McGillion to boot... I didn't even recognize him! I went back after I saw his name in the end credits. When he doesn't use his Carson voice, I don't tend to notice him as quickly. Heresy, I know, but some actors are like that. The DCU/Stargate would have taken place several years before Ernest's disappearance, something to consider. How would the DCU's involvement have changed how the Stargate program progressed? Would they have tried to slow them down?

stargate, dcu, crossover
