More trades for me
I should learn to stay away from Borders. I always come out with far more than I expected. I had the faint hope maybe they'd updated their monthly comics racks. I'll have to make a trek to Big Planet sometime. I just know my usual Falls Church source won't have ordered extra copies of Wonder Woman. Unless you ask for it ahead of time... it makes random browsing rather difficult.
On the bright side, I did come home with Hyperion Books' edition of "El Cazador", published by their teen division. The book is gorgeous. Full size, thick and fairly decent quality paper. The trade reprints all six issues of the Crossgen comic. Steve Epting published some interior pencils from one of the issues in his blog, btw. If Hyperion wanted to publish similar editions of "Ruse", I'd be very amenable.
In a similar vein, I wrote "Just a Girl" for mini_nanowrimo. It was partly inspired by all the fuss over the Halloween costumes. I also couldn't get the ending lines out of my head. Only mildly fannish.
