Audiofic
oparu has recorded her Five Times John & Elizabeth found out they were pregnant as audiofic. This prompted some desire for other SGA audiofic that isn't McShep. Not a slam against sgapodfic, it's open to all comers, but the bulk of the recorders are reading the majority pairing. It just would be nice for others to get the love, too.
isiscolo has two brilliant posts on the basics for audiofic and how she records on Audacity. Lots of links included in both posts and comments.
I need to find a microphone myself. Then there's working up the nerve. It's one thing to record comic books for yourself when you're a kid, it's another thing to put them up on the web for everyone to hear. (That blackmail material stays in Vegas, shall we say.) Part of it is simply getting used to hearing your own voice and accepting that you're not nearly as brilliant as you think. Really, I always sound perfectly McKay or Parker level snarky in my head, but it never translates well.
The other thing is what to record, SGA and otherwise. I know I'd like to do "Poinsettias & Touch Football", cause it has a nice John & Elizabeth scene, but otherwise? (I'm thinking of my own fic for starters.)
