No, I haven't started Book 7. My Amazon pre-ordered copy didn't arrive at my door until late Saturday afternoon. By that point, I was in no mood to attack the Potterverse. Truthfully I never really finished Book 6, though I'm working on that. I'm still not spoiled though for the last book. (Sounds like "still not king", only not nearly as funny.) Oh, well, it'll give me something to read on the commute.
Some comics related links and a crafty fannish one:
How to make a Green Lantern ring: I'm not really a Lantern geek, but this is just too cool not to mention. The full instructions show how create a resin cast Green Lantern ring, including a pretty glowing version. The instructions scare the bejeezus out of me, but it's shiny, even variants, if you want Kyle or Alan's ring, instead of the standard issue.
_ming continues to create some unbelievable DC fanart with her
Stolen Couture showing Selina Kyle into Catwoman in all her jewel-toned glamorous head-turning beauty. This is a Catwoman I could get behind.
NY Times includes our first look at the animated version of Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier and some information about paring down the story for the animated feature. 70 minutes seems so so short. Troubling to hear Cooke had to fight to include Wonder Woman and Lois Lane in the animated version. I can understand dropping Lois, since it's more Hal & Carol's story than the usual Superman story, but Diana? That one I couldn't understand, unless they were afraid of controversy. Either way, I can't wait until this is released.
For the Doctor Who/ cross stitch people, here's
David Tennant stitched up courtesy of a British magazine thanks to a helpful
derryderrydown. I'm pleased how it turned out actually.
