If music be the food of love, play on
I've posted several SGA related ficlets for mini_nanowrimo on nanonano. If you see that name crop up on the sga_newsletter, it's me under an assumed name. So far, I've done:
1. "Neighborhood Tree" (Rodney McKay, gen)
2. "Survivor's Guilt" (Ronon Dex, gen)
3. Part of the flashfic you will eventually see
4. "Ruins" (Wraith, gen)
5. "Peace of Mind" (Rodney & Laura, friendship)
6. "Old Photos" (Miko, from the 1930s Lost City Nano AU)
I received the sga_flashfic story back from the beta and I'm hard at work figuring out how to incorporate the info she tossed at me. Unfortunately thinking about Rodney and classical music inevitably brought up other AU possibilities: has anyone done the classical musician AU? I was thinking the historical sense, since I was remembering what Beethoven I had in my music collection, which brought to mind "Immortal Beloved". Except I think John would be more suited to Beethoven with the wild hair and his way with the ladies. And I thought of Rodney as poor man's Salieri.
