Goodbye Suncoast, hello Macross?
Alas, I stopped by my Suncoast today to discover they're one of the stores on the chopping block after Musicland's Chapter 11 filing. They'll be gone in a month or so. Definitely the end of an era. I discovered an opening date for that store and they've been around since the early 1990s.
On the bright side, they had my Macross dvd I had preordered awhile back. I had given up hope on getting it so I went in intending to cash out the reservation. Instead the attendant went over to the shelf and handed me the dvd. They had called around to the other local stores to see if anyone had their reserved items and drove to them for a store transfer. Hopefully one of the other stores will stay alive so I can continue to use my Replay card.
So I have Macross! I've never seen the original, just the Roboteched version, so it should be an interesting trip through nostalgia.
