So January is unofficially Wabbitseason's Fanfic Reading Month. Who knew? Apparently I took my private grumbling about not getting enough fic read to heart and turned it into a full blown New Year's Resolution. A Mission with goals and stuff. Very unnerving.
Last night I finished minisinoo's "Grail". I likened it to reading a massive paperback in a three night sitting. A very interesting X2 followup tieing in the Phoenix Saga and Legacy virus with mythology and King Arthur stops along the way. It's movieverse, but comics fans will have a lot of moments to squee over to... or worry nervously because you know what happened in the original version. Very adult, though, so it may not be to everyone's tastes.
Then after two weeks of Metro trips back and forth, I've finally finished miss_porcupine's SGA fic. The blue Handspring Visor (nicknamed "Methos", now more appropriate in its advancing age) has been a godsend in allowing me to read at my leisure without killing trees or printers. I need to type up my feedback and reactions, but mostly... Lorne! My love for Major Lorne is now assured. He can join Cameron in my growing harem of clean cut military officers. Competent!Caldwell! And military that act like a military, not just random people with P90s.
