what a nice weekend.

So I'm happy to say that it might have been the best birthday I can remember. I had a lovely relaxing weekend filled with so much food that I don't think I'll be hungry all week.
I'm finally 19 and though I don't feel different, I do feel somewhat of a sense of relief that I made it this far and am still around to tell the tale. Kind of like, who would have thought I'd be 19 and ok.
I'm incredibly appreciative to Jordan and Kim for taking care of everything, making me happy and lovely gifts.
You know, Effy asked me if when we're all together if it feels any different. And I realized that she was going through that fear of everything changing right before you go to college and the uncertainty of things not being the same again. Then I thought to Saturday night and everyone around the table talking and laughing and realized, no it's not any different. We've all changed in our own ways, but together, we're exactly the same and after a year of being apart, all of my favorite people... still are.
Some things don't change. This weekend was lovely starting with Jordan and my dinner date at Kaiten or "Kitchen" as he calls it on Friday. There's really nothing like experiencing revolving sushi with Jordan. Then Kim and I saw Wedding Crashers with David and crew and it was great. So funny.
Broadway Deli was great, especially when I started walking down the promenade and Kim says "you know, if we didn't have to be there right now, I'd let you walk all the way to the end before I told you you're going in the wrong direction" I can't believe everyone sang the happy birthday song all the way through three times. I could not be more embarrassed but love you all nonetheless. There of course was also the moment an adorable little boy hugged jordan's leg and he freaked out and ran away from him.
I really appreciate that people were there for me, and I got some lovely things, I'm already reading the books Alette and Nicole got me and Emily's card put me on the brink of tears.
Marc left me the best message and Patrick and Belgium remembering to call and send love was very sweet. Facebook messages were also very nice.
I also ate way too much at the Cheesecake Factory with my parents resulting in the fact that I might never be hungry again and then had an icee with Kim and Kate at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. (I think Freddie Highmore is the cutest boy ever)
All in all, it was a good weekend, today was a good day at work, if Karl Rove resigns then I'll get my name in the paper on Sunday. Tomorrow night I'm going to the Hollywood Bowl to see Beethoven with Emily so that'll be super duper. I'm reading books and being productive and trying to do something. Oh, and my internship is half over, payday is this week and Nick's parents will be celebrating 25 years of marriage on Saturday in BH. Sweeeeeeeeet.
