Sarah is at a friend's house learning how to play D&D. I went out with Cynthia last night to see Up. It is a great movie! I started crying through it twice! I am a sucker for love stories and happy endings and there were both of those elements in the movie.
I have been spending the last hour on iTunes looking for new music to download. I downloaded a bunch of Little River Band and Yes a couple of days ago.
The weather is so weird here. Right now, according to weatherchannel.com, it is 73 degrees! What happened to summer?! Not that I am wanting 95 degree heat with 90% humidity, like it usually is around now, but it is strange...it probably means we are in store for a warmer than average autumn..ugh.
So I talked to Cynthia about this World Literature class. She wants to read Midsummer Night's Dream. Very COOL! I haven't read much Shakespeare. She also wants us to read Persepolis. I saw the movie last year, but have never read the book. We also might read Reading Lolita in Tehran.It should be a fun class. I love having Cynthia as a teacher. I always learn so much from her classes. I probably would consider going into English as a major, except I don't like the theory stuff. Shudder. Yk, at one time I used to LOVE Theory, but I don't know what happened, maybe having kids, but now I don't GET it, and I am annoyed by it. Hopefully, we don't have too much of that in this class, although I already know that Cynthia is a big fan of the theoretical...
