I happened upon an interesting psychological thought today: as we know, in nature, animals often mark their territory via delicious urine.
Normally, this isn't something I would think too hard about - however my tiny dog was kind enough to piss on my floor today.
Naturally, I was particularly displeased with this result, and began a cycle of punishment.
However, I got to thinking - what portion of my resentment is due to an inherent male 'how dare you piss on my territory?! I piss here!"* thought pattern left over from sub-human evolutionary stages, and what portion is the actual result of someone pissing on my stuff.
Frankly, I think it's a lot more due to the latter, but it is an interesting question.
*Note: I don't actually urinate in my room.
