a quick update/ reminder to myself of what happened since my birthday in September 2014:-
1. i quit
2. the sister got married
3. i gained 5kg from 2 weeks in Vietnam and Taipei
Lastly, i realised that growing up is really tough. I hate reality - its really horrible and facing it is just the worst. As tough as everything gets, there is nothing tougher than the reality of death and the passing of people you have encountered/ known/ lost touch with - i guess this list could really continue. The resolution for 2015 (yes, resolutions are made on 8 February.. perfectly normal) is to be grateful and to love. I have come to realise that I have a never ending list of regrets - some of which aren't really regrets after all because I'm happy they happened because I learnt so much from those instances - and that list is just going to keep growing with each day unless i flip those moments around to things I'm grateful for and reasons for which i should change.
I'm 7 months shy to a quarter of a century and I honestly feel none the wiser from my good ol' 17 years old days when i first started this blog. Here's the sad truth - blogging has now taken a near non-existent seat in my life. I guess no one can blame me when I don't get paid/ sponsor/ any thrill out of spilling my life beans out on this platfom... but I am of course always eternally grateful/ embarrassed years down when I randomly decide to search back for stuff and my blog throws up memories and reminders of things that happened and that I've of course forgotten.
*fyi, this photo was taken back in September 2010 (2nd year semester 1 of law school). Since then, I've had dental surgery so my jaw looks different, my phone has been upgraded to an iphone 6 and my hair is shorter... I still wear that same shirt, same skirt and same jacket to work. Man, am I proud of myself.
the truth is, life is ruff and there's no real magical elixir to deal with the absurdity of reality. I guess i just have to suck it up and deal with it for now.
