flurry & cakes

It's been a horrendous week and I've barely had any sleep but I think I was so stressed out by everything I figured there wasn't much a point sleeping anyway given that I'd dream about work and wake up feeling worse. So I managed to set aside sometime to bakebakebake and the results of fresh raspberries can never be overestimated.

Wound up making a basic butter cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and a raspberry filling for my parents' wedding anniversary
I actually really regret using that cake recipe because the result was nothing I had envisoned and was rather disappointed for a while - but at least grandma's birthday is coming up next week! So with hope, i can get the time to re-try the initial plan i had for this cake.

& so with this cake in tow, 4 hours of sleep and eye bags sagging to the ground - i headed to school for my consultation for the rp and then headed to traders in celebration of 36 years of marriage (i btw asked them - so does it feel like you've been married for 36 years? and the standard rom-com answer here is: no, *looks lovingly at each other*.. instead my mother went: Yah and my dad nodded and asked for another piece of waffle...)

Thanks for all the support and love over the years - for having never chided me for not studying enough or for my penchant to take on a gazillion things at one shot and proceed to get angsty and grumpy at home.
Also, thanks for tolerating all my rants and my general disposition to make a mess out of everything and of course for allowing me to have buddy and loving him so much that he's now the most spoilt dog/ kid in the house - I love the two of you very very much and I couldn't have been happier being part of your anniversary celebration.

The dessert range at cafebiz :3... it's not over the top like Melt but it's super awsm still!
~ asian flavours.

AHMAGAHD
FRESHLY MADE BELGIAN WAFFLE WITH RASPBERRY COULLIS AND COCONUT ICE CREAM AND OF COURSE A DRIZZLE OF MAPLE SYRUP. what a glorious way to end the meal.

Happy anniversary parents!!
I hope you liked dinner and the cake :)
