i h8 you gastric

Sep 24, 2011 11:28

I will forever be confused by how I still have gastric attacks frequently when I eat so much all the time T_T
e.g. 1: after dinner last night I had cold stone ice cream + waffle at 11pm, the result = crazy gastric attacks at 7am because I think my tummy now expects me to wake up in the middle of the night to eat or something. fml

Either way, recess week has pretty much come to an end and I've pretty much done nothing despite the ambitious plans I had - what's new really?
So to mark the end of recess week - lunch at Shima Restaurant at Goodwood Park hotel
Mark's been raving about this place for the longest time... quite possibly since I first met him and we finally dragged ourselves and our bleeding wallets down to Shima since my laziness and procrastination is sure to land me in the study room for the next few weeks with packs of goldfish for sustenance. FML

in town with dripping wet hair + half awake for lunch
also, clearly didn't make an effort to wear heels despite wearing a pretty dress for my cousin's wedding in the night.. can you blame me? I enjoy being able to feel my foot after a day of walking

Shima restaurant is on the list of restaurants for October's Restaurant Week.. unfortunately i haven't managed to make a booking :'( - depressed
the restaurant week menu is the same as the yakiniku buffet available on weekdays at $39.90 ++, except that it would be at $25 ++

Appetizers:

california handroll - a bit too much rice but yummy nonetheless

shashimo and prawn tempura
hurr, liked their shashimo so much we ordered it a few times - it was super fresh and not grainy/bitter like those frozen ones

sashimi :3

Main Course:

Japanese seasoned slice beef

Unagi, fresh prawns, chicken, japanese fishcake, squid, salmon chunks

GRILLING TIME

O M G the unagi was crazy good (and so was everything else actually) but I was most impressed by the unagi because all the cheapo sushi counters I patronize at supermarkets have all turned to fitting all the odd ends of the unagi into my sushi rolls.. and these odd ends are normally gooey, with no meat and generally slimy - highly unappetizing.
The unagi here was fresh, perfectly seasoned and meaty. I like.

& here's the most awesome part - there's this air blowing machine at the exit which blows the grilled food smell out of your hair!!
haha I was very amused by it and mark told me it's been there since he was a really young kid when he and ian couldn't even reach the air blowing vent lol

and that's it for exciting atas meals for probably the next month.. i hate school :(

After dinner with the family at my cousin's wedding it was off to the F1 with my cheapo $38 walkabout tickets :9

zoomzoomzoom :')
I was super excited because I've never watched F1 before and it was actually really exciting and whoo!! within my 10 minutes of standing there I actually saw a car overtake another at a turn and saw hamilton whizz by. highly exciting.

Padang field

invested in a pair of el cheapo $2 ear plugs

I used to be a k-pop fan in 2009/2010... although i wasn't even half as crazy as the psycho k-pop fans who were there last night

the perfect exhibit for a crazy animation fan like me - god i love animations

enlightened? lol

hahaha I have to say, my photo skills ain't shabby for a person who was blocked by a gazillion other people + stood pretty far away

HI TOP.

also, have a mad obsession with cute stationery - if you've evr been to my study room/ looked at my pencil case you'd notice that i could never use a normal looking pen.. and if i did, it probably has been decorated crazy
note as well that my obsession = a very broke me, since that minnie mouse pen you see above cost me $12. fml

japanese, f1, stationery, mark, shima restaurant, food, k-pop
