It shouldn't be a surprise to those who've been reading about my birthday celebrations/ seen pictures/ met me that my birthday lasted a full week this year and it was truly pleasantly surprising.
Starting from last Sunday, with the exception of Monday, every day had an element of surprise, good food and great company.
I also did close to nothing in terms of school work but it's been great and I'm glad it's been celebrated this way - a truly great thanks to all those who organized with mark, or anyone else in my family. Am truly touched.

Friday: Lunch at Thai beef noodle house with the study room people
Friday Dinner: Basilico with Mark
The funniest thing happened - Mark was meant to arrange dinner on friday and I was supposed to arrange lunch on Saturday... funnily enough.. we managed to surprise each other by booking both meals at the same place. fml
so I spent half of dinner trying to find another booking and luckily for us, the manager at Basilico, Nicholas, was crazy helpful and I cannot even begin on how brilliant he was - but that shall be in the later post on what transpired on the 3rd of September itself :)

& best part about it all - balloons.. I've had a mad love for balloons since I learnt to talk. My family happily recalls memories of me pointing to the moon and going "fishball" or "balloon" and demanding that I have it. Also, whenever we went to restaurants decorated with balloons, my mum would have to take her nail scissors from her bag and snip off a few for me so that I'd stop gazing at them through the meal.
love love love balloons.
♡

(best part is I didn't even ask for it.. I just have a sister who reads my mind)
couldn't have asked for a better birthday :)
