VOODOO EVENT
[At least six different tents are situated within the quad, each filled with table upon table and bookshelf upon bookshelf of odd, strange, (and sometimes) terrifying wares: potions, powders, badges, pills, charms, jewelery, boxes, pouches, jars of body parts (...let's hope they're not human) and small animals, and bottles of all intricacies with unknown liquid.
Hanging from the sides of the tent are signs, all mysteriously glowing. They all read:
Everything within the tents is for sale; and surely voodoo isn't real. The items are completely safe. Though, the superstitious know that voodoo is a tricky magic, and has been known to backfire on those who don't know what they're doing. Though even nonbelievers will believe by the time the magic wears off; for the items that wouldn't backfire have been tampered with, unbeknownst to the staff or the Fairy Godmother. No one knows who the culprit is, though it's unlikely they'd be caught so easily.
Oh... and if you do have any issues, or wish to have a professional opinion or a recommendation for an item, you should probably talk to Ursula. She can do wonders when magic's involved... How perfect an opportunity this must be for her to further help poor unfortunate souls!]
((OOC: Okay, here's a brief rundown of what a Voodoo Event is!
-Your character, should you choose to participate, will come into contact with one of the items. It's up to you what the item is, how they acquire it (is it a gift, did they intend to buy it for someone else, did they buy it for themselves, was it accidentally spilled on them, etc.).
-Anything can happen to your character due to the voodoo; again, it's up to you what the effects are. In the past, we have seen:
-Personality changes (for better or for worse)
-Delusions
-Form changes
-Forced honesty
-Liquid courage... to the extreme (See: Hiccup L. Jackson)
-Illogical love
-Temporarily losing or gaining a sense
-Switch of sides between good and evil
-You can use any of these or come up with something on your own!
-The effects will last one week, until January 6th, when the event ends.
-Everyone who is participating must tag in this post; write out how your character gets their item. You may hand wave and say they bought it from Fairy Godmother, you can poke me to tag with Fairy Godmother and play out the purchase, or you can talk with Ursula (just make sure to let Maria know you want the interaction!).
-All posts from participating members hereon out until the end of the event must incorporate the temporary change your character is going through.
-If you have a special account made for this event (ex: formchange!character account with different icons), request to join the comm and I will approve you!
