Ah, yes -- I had forgotten you were that sort of mother, admirable if pitiable, who never makes her children wait for the slightest thing, and thus ends up with a lot of shamefully spoiled offspring.
But don't let my observations discourage you. Certainly, you are trying your very best, and if you inadvertently do your lads a gross disservice by making them utterly dependent on your presence, as helpless to look after themselves as naked baby birds, why, at least you will have the comfort of knowing your heart was in the right place.

Do you truly think I'm harming them so? I only want to see them comfortable and happy. If supper isn't ready on time, they may go to bed late, and then they'd be terribly ill-tempered in the morning.
