Note: That repetitive graph does cheat, slightly, for the second period of increased rising, you may notice.

The measured rise putting us somewhere between high and low predictions is slightly closer to lower predictions, meaning acceleration should be a little less, at least until measurements may change.

There are additional cycles to consider, including solar and galactic.

Cometary additions to sea level are negligible in the short-run.  I have a hypothesis that there may be nuclear fusion reactions occurring at and near the core of the planet, producing additional water, gradually rising to the surface.  This is an unproved hypothesis, with some contradicting evidence. There are some who speculate that the planet has been gradually expanding over billions of years, which would support the hypothesis, if true.
