Yes, it's been quite trying. A lull for a few days and then broiling again soon. I suppose I must mow the lawn on Monday, otherwise it's a long stretch of heat and/or rain.

I think I'd probably like ~Britain better.

I know that Europe has been hit with some very severe cold snaps in the recent past. But it is normal that winters get below zero farenheit where I live. Even so, I have thought of moving further north. Less people up there, and global warming will raise the temps a bit.

Good luck with moving.

Im from Northumberland and I spent my first 25 years here. Then my then partner got a job down south so I moved to Reading. Then he changed jobs and started working at the then called British Aerospace so we moved to the west of England to Preston then he changed jobs because I wanted to live further North so we moved to Guisborough which is at the tip of North Yorkshire. Then we split up so I moved back to Northumberland. Its beautiful here.

Yes, Northumberland does seem like a very nice area. I have looked into it before, as well as the area to the north, mostly regarding history. I wouldn't mind living there at all. My parents originated from the northernmost tip of Eire, and Scotland.

I've seen "Keighley" pop up in my stats thingie, and figured that was you. (In Yorkshire. The widget isn't always perfectly precise). I never mentioned this to you as I knew you liked privacy.

I'm off to bed now.
