California fires: what is happening and is climate change to blame? -  (Nov.12)

I live near Chicago. I don't mind the cold if there is no wind. And it has happened several times in the past that Alaska is warmer than Chicago, esp. in the fall, due to the Pacific. However, we have not yet seen the normal Indian Summer here. So I am thinking that the winter will eventually be above-average warm here. A mild winter is also being predicted by others.

Increase energy in a closed, finite environment = more highs and lows - more turbulence. There is also a theory that we could swing into an ice age because of this. That idea was fictionalised in, "The Day After Tomorrow," and was taken from the book, "The Coming Superstorm".

Florida is also experiencing an invasion of warm-climate species, etc. Very sad what is happening there. Not a good idea to invest in real estate in that state, yo. Interestingly, the crash of 2007/8 followed not only from bubble-investing, but failing real estate prospects in warming states like FL, CA, and AZ - as well as post Katrina LS. People are generally not capable of seeing that environment is the primary influence upon all economy, no matter how that is subsequently branded or traded.
