Alas, my reign of freedom comes to an end. Although I've been "grounded" for the last two weeks, my mom has been out of the country and I've been free to frolic about to my heart's desire, which in regards to frolicking isn't much.

I was watching 3 ninjas something or other some time ago (back when my tv was working, which was actually yesterday) and there's a scene where the old sensei guy makes them promise not to do something that they had previously been coerced into doing by a girl and her feminine wiles. So using their ninja ingenuity they cross their fingers so as to be morally inculpable later on. This brought me to thinking of finger crossing on a larger scale, when one wants to do something but knows they shouldn't they mentally cross their fingers and rationalize whatever they're doing. I'm not reffering to anything or anyone in particular it's just something that I've been thinking of for a bit. How far can 'finger crossing' take you, and do people notice that essentially that's what they're doing when the time comes. Because if something is wrong no matter how much you rationalize or cross your fingers, it remains wrong.
