A letter to my Yuletide writer~
(Everyone else can ignore this one...)
Dear Mystery Yuletider,
First of all, thank you! This is my ... holy cow, fifth year doing this challenge, and it's always a huge, terrifying, fantastice, adrenaline-filled rush. So, thanks for being a part of it as well.
As you already know, I requested three... pretty different fandoms. I can't begin to guess which one you'll be choosing, but I think any preferences I may have will hold true across the board. But, as this is a wishlist, I'm going to get to wishing:
I love plot as much as fluff, prefer warmth over hardcore kink, and love character exploration and pair/group dynamics. I'm easy insofar as ratings go, and am okay with smut in any fandom but Dorothy Sayers (sorry, I just... I-I can't, HOWEVER if you think you can change my mind with some tasteful Peter/Harriet, by all means, do try). Mostly I just love characters being themselves, no matter how wonderful, how flawed, or how wonderfully flawed they may be. I do have to say, as far as those three fandoms are concerned, my preferences do lie with the gen/het stories, so I hope that's not too much of an imposition.
And while I would appreciate a holiday-themed story, that part is entirely up to you.
Hopefully this proved helpful! I know that a lot of people have broken down their letters to include their wishes by fandom -- I'm opting not to do that, because I don't want to feel like I'm dictating to you what you ought to write. I know I've included my likes and not my dislikes, so let me mention those briefly here:
*Please don't humiliate the characters. This is sad-making for me. (Mild embarrassment that is easily resolved is one thing -- abject humiliation is what I'm talking about, and that's something else entirely.
*No bashing of characters or pairings.
*While I do not mind angst, I would prefer something that is not DARK DARK DARK LIKE THE DARKEST DARK NIGHT.
*For this particular challenge, no character death, please.
