Wow, this week, the SciFi channel has managed to captivate me more then they have for a while! (and I liked the last couple of weeks, too) Even SG1 was highly entertaining.
SG1
I think that I'm just a sucker for weird parallel universe/people out of phase episodes! But, I think that what got me the most is that I LOVED the character interactions. They were all so cute and adorable, and it brought me back to the good old joking around that went on in earlier seasons. They were dealing with serious things, and yet....
Also: eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! Claudia Black is back next week!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for her to return!
SGA
What can I say about how truly awesome this episode was?!?! First, omg TRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP! *clings to my old Enterprise boyfriend* (I still say I got the better end of that boyfriend trade,
mylittleredgirl *grins*)
Personally, I think it was one of the better (if not THE BEST) episodes that SGA has ever had. I loved the plot, the implications of the plot, and the way the writers carried it out. Just amazing. True, it was somewhat clear that something was really up around 10 minutes into the episode, but it was still done amazingly well. I loved how Ronan reacted to the whole human/wraith/human/??? walking around. I loved that the whole thing was done from Trip's perspective. I loved the way Trip reacted to Teyla and their relationship with each other.
I also have to say that there were many funny 'wraith crack whore' jokes going on through my head the whole time, along with 'kryptonite for wraiths' jokes as well. I mean, really, bright green liquid that kills the wraith within! (we shall ignore that this week I managed to finally figure out why Smallville is actually considered to be a good show. Oh, the family channel, you have addicted me with your marathon and your showing of that show every day)
mylittleredgirl, can we watch SGA again together tomorrow sometime? I really missed that you were not there to have Trip-related jokes going on throughout the episode.
BSG
omg, all my favorite cylons are back!!!!!!!!!! Oh, Baltar/Six, how you are so amazing in each other's brains, telling the other how to betray your respective races. It is truly amazing. I love it so much. I love that the episode had so much cylon time in it! I love that Sharon has been reborn. I am intrigued by how they handled the birth of the baby.
Really, this episode encouraged me to like this show again, after Billy's death destroyed much of my reason for watching. I guess the totally lack of Kara and Lee helped as well, since recently they have been annoying me more times then not. (with the exception of last week's episode)
Dammit, I still want one happy episode. JUST ONE. Is this too much to ask? I mean, really, can this show keep going without giving the viewers some sort of release? At this point, a large part of me wonders how the characters have kept going. They HAVE to have moments that aren't amazingly painful! People just can't live without it. Oh well, next week: habitable planet that will kill humanity!
On a totally different note: omg, my stuff that has been living in my grandparent's attic for the past 9 months will actually get here tomorrow! I will have a REAL BED! (which is good, since my air mattress sprung a leak, so I have been staying with my dad in order to have a place to sleep!)
