let the apartment hunting begin!

mylittleredgirl and I started the great apartment hunt today! And we were remarkably successful at it, too!

Things we have learned from today

1. If a neighborhood looks sketchy, it probably is...especially if you see 2 kids walking down the street with electronic equipment.
2. It is amazing how different the quality of neighborhoods is on the two opposite sides of Portland.
3. There IS a such thing as a place that is TOO BIG for you.
4. Looking for apartments is tiring, yet so much fun!
5. When looking for an apartment in November, you are much more likely to be able to get a 6 or 9 month lease! Woot!

Anyway, this one realtor lady is so incredibly nice, and we totally expect to get a place from her! We are meeting up with her again on monday, but she showed us two places tonight. One was just way too big. Unless we dedicated on room to be the 'big dancing party' room, I have no idea what we would do with it! Seriously, this place was totally a freaking 3-STORY HOUSE! Sachi and I agreed that it would totally be the type of place we would want when we one day have cute little children in the distant future.

Another place seriously had the most windows EVER! La!

And there is this other place we will see that is BRIGHT ORANGE on the outside. I am a little afraid of the color, but Sachi is highly amused by it. We decided that should we end up with this place, it would NEED to be called 'Orange you glad it wasn't banana again?' or something like that!

*can't wait until Monday to continue!*
