San Antonio :)

hiiii I'm back. joy.

San Antonio is such a pretty city! I loved it. There is this riverwalk (I took pictures, by the way) & hotels are built all around it, & I stayed in this really pretty one, and had private balconies that look over the riverwalk, with couches & chairs and so I read there, just by myself while the sun was setting one of the nights, & it was SO relaxing. It was 80 degree weather, sunny everyday. I wore skirts + flip flops :) ..lots of Mexican restaurants, I felt at home. & a mall, BUT it wasn't in my hotel, it was just a regular mall that was located on the riverwalk, but it was pretty! I got a shirt from American Eagle there haha. I went to it with my mom, and she was like, "Saundra, you have this at home. Ok let's get out of the mall."

I was so relaxed, I had nothing on my mind. Just to get away from everything for 5 days is good enough for me. I would just walk around the riverwalk, with the sun shining down & there were a lot of tourists taking pictures. It reminded me A LOT of southern California + Florida + Phoenix, Arizona (at some points) I found myself being like, "Hey! this reminds me of..."

Sooo yeah my parents & I also went to the Alamo, pretty interesting.

I also got to see Houston & stuff, cuz we flew from Philly to Atlanta, then from Atlanta to Houston. & then rented a car & drove to San Antonio, which took like 2 hours. We didn't fly directly to San Antonio cuz the tickets were like $1,000. So it was a sweet drive. fields + cows. & towns, too. trees and plants also.

San Antonio is a cute Spaniard city, & Houston is more modern. Yeah Spanish speaking people EVERYWHERE we went. & of course, my parents spoke it everywhere we went, & I understood, but I tried speaking it. I could say only certain things.

My uncle & aunt have a house in San Antonio, so we went out to dinner with them the first night we got there. & they spoke spanish. awesome. so I basically had time to myself, to sit there and listen to them & take it in. or think about other stuff haha. My aunt Cristina knows very little english, kinda like I know Spanish. So she said that anytime I wanna go down to Monterrey & stay with them to learn Spanish, I can. I would help her with English, if she helps me with Spanish.

Yesterday was our last day & we drove to Corpus Christi. hmm we were a little disappointed :( It was really pretty, niiice houses and blue water, but absolutely nothing to do. & its also a port city, so ships go in and out, and oil is refined there, so its kinda gross. & yeah there's like no beach, like no area of sand. yeah we didn't like it. waste of time, but at least now I know how it is.

well I had fun. I'll show you pictures sometime! My mom let me take her digi camera & I took advantage & took like 842798 pics. kbye.
