So denimskater, winters_chill and I checked out Dark Intentions in Lowell last week... It wasn't bad, though a much younger crowd than Manray. It's 18+, but I swear some of the people there had to be 16. It made me feel like they were saying to themselves... "well, we used to dress up all weird and go to the mall and fool around... but now we're old enough to do that in a CLUB!"
But, all in all, the venue was fairly nice, people were friendly, and the music was good -- I'd be willing to go back at some point.
One strange occurrence: We were talking to the wife of the promoter, who said that she'd never been to Manray, and wasn't sure she wanted to go, because she's "kind of skittish". I just found that very odd -- a lot of people are way too easily intimidated, but I wouldn't think she would be, of all people. *shrug*
