Okay, so why is it that every single person who has ever done any sort of "past life regression" just happens to have been an Atlantian high priest in one of their past lives? I swear, I have enough trouble not laughing at such things anyway, but the next time that someone, in all seriousness, says to me: "Oh yes, I was told that I am a very old soul, I was even a high priest in Atlantis" I'm not going to be able to restrain myself from laughing hysterically. Atlantis must have had quite a few priests.
Really, why don't people question things? I'm all in favor of trying to figure out new ways to explain yourself and the world around you... but why don't people require that these explanations have actual evidence supporting them? I would even be totally fine with someone saying "this explanation may or may not be true, but I find it useful, so I'll stick with it" but most of them just fling themselves into total belief without any additional thought, and then get angry when someone expresses skepticism.
*grumble*grumble*
It's this sort of thing that makes me really worry about our society.
