I've been overseas for a week now. It is such a different culture here I don't even know where to begin. First thing I notice is the heat. It is so immensely humid and hot that when I walk outdoors my skin gets sticky and sweat pours out like no tomorrow. I don't know how the people here survive, I don't think my body will ever adapt to this weather. The second thing I notice is the food. It is essentially impossible to starve in this city (unless of course you don't have enough money). Because there are restaurants, street food, random booths in every nook and cranny. I have not yet eaten at the same restaurant twice and I eat a full 3 meals a day. The transportation here is also extremely convenient. All you really need are your own 2 feet. And if you're feeling a little lazy, then just call on a taxi. And everything is so cheap. Whenever I'm about to purchase something, I convert it into Canadian dollars, and everything is worth it. It's terrible for shopaholics like myself. The only problem is the fact that the clothing styles here are slightly different. So it takes awhile to find something that I could wear back home and not look fresh of the boat.
I think I'll try and keep updating as often as I can and maybe with photos as well. It'd be nice to look back and see how things will change in a few years the next time I come back.
