WEEK#3
okay, so I definitely don't have time / nor do I really feel like posting about frosh week or my first school week at UW ... so I'm just going to being with this week and maybe (hopefully) I'll come back and will have time to blog a bit about my first two weeks at UW.
So yesterday, after classes, I came back home and did some readings. I was actually quite proud of myself. I find that I can only do work while the sun is still out. Once it becomes night time, I can't concentrate. Therefore, I must ensure that I always plan to do my readings in the afternoon (Y). Then, Wennie, Ken & Brian came by my room before the LLC meeting and we sat around and loafted eating & just talking about random things. Eventually, they left and instead of reading, I watched The Truman Show while eating my dinner :) At around 7:45, I went down to the lounge to meet up with them to go to the SLC and attent the ACE mingling session. The session itself was slightly useless, but the "after party" was much more interesting. Not really a party but a bunch of us just loafted in the SLC afterwards and played brain teasers and riddles :) It was quite entertaining and great to have met new friends! We then went back to V1 cafe while a few of them ate. Somehow it ended up being Andrew, Gerry, Yvonne, Angus and I left and we just sat around talking about our boyfriends & girlfriends : )) A good way to spend the night.
As for today, classes were not too bad. I came home after AFM131 and after a bit of loafting, met up with Andy and we chilled until Wayne & Fiona were done class. Andy then dropped me off for French and had a very interesting class with Jessie :) I predict a very fun-filled french year with this girl. After class, we walked back to V1 and I went to go check out who's chillin' in the lounge. Turns out Tony was there with two of our building mates: Michael & Seyi. They were doing their Lyryx labs, so I decided to join them. We did our work, and took some breaks ... until some other girls came down and joined us for the Season Premiere of Glee! We watched the episode and now I am back in my room ... procrastinating on my readings... I'll probably end up taking a shower, watching GG / HIMYM and sleeping LOL.
