the Canadian National Exhibition

Day & Night.

After reading my last entry, I realize that I did not sum up my CNE adventure well enough for me to remember all the details in a year's time. So I chose to dedicate this entry just for my Sunday :)

Alright so the CNE adventure begins when Jeff went to pick up Jon, Derek & Janice. We then headed down to the CNE in two full cars and upon arrival, mother nature decides to be mean and pours rain down on us like there would be no tomorrow. Since there was no way for us to go outside, we decided to walk around in the exhibits. Our first stop was the Superdog show. It was actually quite cute! Especially watching the really little dogs run through the gates, or whatever they're called. And some of them were so fast, it was incredible. After the show, Jeff and I got ourselves a chocolate covered ice cream cone rolled in peanuts. Omg orgy in my mouth <3 We then walked around Halls A - C. These included some warehouse outlets, the Sand Sculpting competion, a man who stacked rocks one on top of the other like it was a giant balancing act, a bunch of random booths and tons of interesting thing. We definitely did not spend enough time in there, but when the rain went away, we decided to go outside right away.

The first thing we did when we were able to step foot outside, was visit the Food Building. There were SO many choices to choose from but when I saw the pemeal bacon sandwiches I knew instantly that's what I wanted. And that was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made, because it was so delicious. That and I was quite hungry by that time. After reenergizing ourselves, we decided to go outside to check out the games. The main reason for the boys to come was to gamble and so that's what they did. I'm not going to lie, it is quite fun and entertaining, but the odds are not that great. I wonder how much money they make in one day... The boyfriend and I decided to walk around and play other games while most of them stayed and gambled at that one booth. We played a game where you used a fishpole like device to stand up a bottle, a magnetic can game, a bowling game, the ball toss game and bingo. We also walked around to some of the outside booths and I signed myself up for a BMO SPC Mastercard! We then decided to walk back towards the guys to find them back at the food building. It was starting to get dark outisde at this point, and we decided to check out the Arts & Crafts exhibit. There wasn't much arts & crafty about it except for the booths here and there. I did however, find these to be quite amazing:

Don't they look so tasty?

They're actually not edible! In fact they're Candles by Lori! This is basically going to be my mom's birthday present, or Christmas or something lol.

Then, we decided to go back outside and somehow found ourselves back at the games. We decided to watch the Mana Cirque Fantaisiste show which turned out to be stellar. My favourite was the chick in the giant hoola hoop and the girl who did gymnastics on that stick thing. It was pretty sick, not gonna lie. After the show, we headed back towards the games and baby won me more toys :)

We finally decided to head home when everything closed down at exactly midnight.
All in all, it was an afternoon / night well spent. Although I didn't begin with the most excitement ever, it turned out to be a good night. :)

Thank you boyfriend for trying to & taking me out to the CNE on this day.♥
