my champagne-inspired xmas and new year :)
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to everyone! :) *hugs* Below are the highlights of my festive season, in somewhat chronological order:
- Clubbing with Kirk, Paul and Rob two nights before Xmas Eve - a somewhat random yet fun night :)
- Drunkenly ordering champagne the night before Xmas Eve at Connies, and accidentally ordering a $65 bottle of Chandon - it tasted really good, once I found an ATM so I could pay for it :p And much love to Matt and Andrew for helping me finish it *grin*
- Rocking up to Brett's house for a Xmas Eve BBQ and being given a glass of Bollinger champagne... I've always wanted to try some! And it was better than I'd even imagined! :) And the whole BBQ was a lot of fun, talked a lot with cyber_blue and Mark and caught up with everyone else :) Oh and getting PORN as my first xmas pressie of the season from rehab_jj!
- Xmas day lunch at my place, with a fabulous group of people (Mum, Antonio, kai_el_solo, Steven, tru_jib, worfie, ctwd, Rob, Kirk and Paul) - we spent most of the day sitting in the inflateable pool out the back, eating, drinking and being merry :) And I got good gifts for everyone (IMNSHO *grin*)
- Seeing Jason on Boxing Day, after not having seen him for a month cos he was on holiday... lying in the park and being happy that everything was okay between us :)
- Working from home for the three business days between Xmas and New Year - timeshifted a lot, so I worked in the evenings and enjoyed the sunshine during the day :) I'm so much more productive in the evenings, wish I could work from home more often!
- Beach on Saturday before NYE with Andrew - despite Scarborough being very windy it was so relaxing just to sit and soak up the sun and talk :) And tan!
- Meeting Josh for the first time on Saturday night, and then drinking way too much vodka - oh, the hangover the next day was NOT a highlight, but it was the only real hangover I had the entire festive season, so that's not bad...
- Still on the champagne theme - walking into the Court on NYE, buying a bottle of champagne, finishing it mostly on my own fairly quickly, and then not drinking anything else all night - which meant I was right as rain the next day :) - being fed by Chris James also helped :)
- Ending up dancing shirtless for a few songs at the Court over New Years (I blame Josh for that one :p) - my first time ever shirtless out at a club! Oh and rocking up to Connies later and finding glowsticks/glowbands all over the floor so we were dancing with glowing things :) And seeing Nelson and Les out at the same time!
