anyhow, so i have a good 20 minutes before my 153 lab and instead of making good use of my time like a good student would, i'm not and doing a crossword puzzle and updating my lj instead which is the utterness of unproductive. but it's been awhile so i figure what the hey.
my first week of classes... went by. it was slow some days (i.e. tues-thurs) and not so bad others (i.e. wed-fri) but i got through despite some exhaustion and overall displeasure. survival is a wonderful thing. so the wake game was on saturday so we figured hey we'll stand in line say friday night... so marc, me, lori, sumesh, and later naim and CHRISTY JAMES (she DOES exist) decide to do some shifts and such. so from about 10-1 sumesh and naim and christy are out there more or less and then marc and i showed up at 1 to spend the night in the TWENTY DEGREE WEATHER. it was horrid. i didn't get to sleep til at least 3:30, i got kicked off the air mattress, my sleeping bag kept opening up... and when i woke up there was frost on my sleeping bag and my cheeks were permanently chapped. it was horribly uncomfortable but then we switched off w/the others and in the end we had a good time at the game. i'll try to get some of lori's pictures. and it was a good game so in hindsight i guess i'll forgive the badness that was friday night... so after a nice nap in a warm bed, marc and i went out to dinner at spartacus and such (yay for key lime pie, which i haven't had in much too long) and enjoyed the comforts of a dorm room w/walls and a bed. sunday wasn't much more exciting, to be quite honest i don't remember any particulars. **WAIT** yes i do, marc and i made breakfast at 4 in the afternoon and it was uberfun despite some small burns and some difficulties w/the pancake flipping... but i made a BEAUTIMOUS over easy egg that i'm quite proud of... so there. pancakes, eggs, and the smell of brownies (we didn't have room to eat them after the other stuff) at 4 on a sunday is scrumptious** sunday night however we watched the godfather which i hadn't seen in awhile so that was good. monday was the happiness of not having my ONE CLASS (ha) so marc and i went to champp's for dinner and got a free dessert for the food taking too long although neither of us noticed until our server had already apologized and given it to us... so that was cool. and then yesterday were classes and i gave blood which took two hours from my appointment which was RIDICULOUS and retarded but the lady who took my blood was funny so i forgave them and let them take away a pint of my life.
and now i should head off to classes. happy chinese new year tomorrow (not that i'll even remember tomorrow).
