notes from mission viejo
sunday was awesome. went over to caroline's and decorated ghetto christmas cookies (rock on gang-sta!) before picking up wusi and heading to ho-hum nicholasville for becky's baby shower. hung out there and... did baby shower stuff. cute little baby room. left about 4:30 and stopped by wusi's house. as in her HOUSE that is yet to be finished. i like the part where we went upstairs to the little place that overhangs the family room that has no bannister and i asked if it was safe... and wusi said yes... before we rushed downstairs to her saying "alright, not safe any more." it's pretty. went back to my house and i cooked while wusi didn't. went to allison's and saw lots of happy magnets and had lots of happy times. wish i'd written this earlier so i would remember more. but we'll just leave it at that. went home around 10:30. monday i ran around town to libraries and banks taking care of stuff. called up caroline and hung w/her in her basement. gotta love that hangin'. went home around 2:30 when caroline finally let me go and went and picked up mom at work so she could take us to the airport. went to cincinnati. went to la. went to mission viejo. ate. slept. tuesday morning i watched whale rider. cried when the little girl gave her speech near the end. played with cousins. all 7 of them that were over. went to mission viejo mall and irvine spectrum w/my aunt and lisa and michelle and had good food at cheesecake factory AND tiramisu cheesecake (which is HOT). wednesday i mostly wrapped presents and such. wednesday night went and picked up mom at lax. traffic. lots of traffic. got back around 11:30. woke up the next morning at 6:30ish and stayed awake thanks to cousins downstairs. opened presents in mission viejo with lisa, alan, andrew, larry, and kenneth at about 8:30. good times. ate breakfast. hung out. went to long beach around 11:30 to see amber and coy and guam and heather and jonny. lunch and such. left at 5 and went to orange to alex's house to have christmas dinner w/all of the dad's side. fell asleep sick. got back around 11:30. day after christmas the immediate aunt, uncles, grandmother, and father went to san jose for funeral. stayed around the house and... did nothing. got online for hours on end. alex came over. wasted time w/him. played clue. went to bed. woke up at 7:15 on my own accord and no ability to fall back asleep. so now i'm waiting to listen to the basketball game that stops all time in the state of kentucky (and gets no recognition in california) and now michelle and chris are here which means ALL EIGHT of my cousins on my dad's side (ages 15, 12, 12, 10, 10, 9, 7, 7) are in one place at one time w/one adult (my aunt) and me (and i wash my hands of them)... so yeah. tomorrow's a small little party for my grandmother, and then monday it's back to 'tucky. and tuesday it's back to durham (which was one of the la times crossword puzzle answers... for "duke university city"... and then someone tore it out and to ok it before i could)...
