I instantly fell in love with the concept behind the Katamari series of games. Rolling a sticky ball along picking up items of increasing size as the ball gets wider in diameter. Think of a snowball rolling down a mountainside. However I never had a game system that it was released on. That was solved with my PSP. Me and My Katamari is a decent translation of the other games into a portable game system. The activity is in rolling up large enough balls (katamari) so that they form island homes for all the animals you encounter. Though there are time limits, a high enough score unlocks each level's eternal mode for playing without the limit. A nice extra is the collection aspect with some 2300 items to be found. The game provides an index sortable by item type, name, size, or location. Although there are only a few environments to roll about in, you can start at the size of a thumbtack and end up the size of an asteroid.
I finished the main story over a weekend of intense playing, but still have scores to beat and items to find. I was initially scared because after my first hour of gameplay, I got extremely dizzy and nauseous. I was afraid the game gave me vertigo. Fortunately I picked it back up the next day and rolled and rolled in fun like a pig in slop.
